Abstract

A profile of Ferdinand Karsch-Haack, sexual emancipation activist in Germany, is presented. He was born on September 2, 1853 in Münster, Germany. His ethnological and cultural treatises on same-sex relations and his critical studies of homosexual personalities in European history are popular. According to him, homosexuality is a phenomenon frequently observable at different levels of animal evolution.
