Abstract
- The article offers news briefs in New York in September 2007. The New York State Department of Transportation held two public hearings on a proposed truck/train depot in Brentwood, with neighbors rallied against the plan at the second hearing held at Suffolk Community College. Long Island colleges have been reexamining security plans, including Hofstra University which has designed the Campus Alert Notification Network and Delaware State which maintained a very advanced emergency system.
