Coping With Reentry: The Role of PFM in the Reentry Process.

There is an abundance of research that documents the structural impediments to post-prison success resulting numerous legal restrictions and economic difficulties. This paper examines the role that religion plays in the re-entry process. Data for this study come from nearly two years of participant observation in a variety of activities with a Prison Fellowship Ministry Aftercare group in Southeastern Wisconsin. These activities include mentorship training, in-prison chapel services and Bible groups, as well as aftercare support groups.
