Abstract
- There is an abundance of research that documents the structural impediments to post-prison success resulting numerous legal restrictions and economic difficulties. This paper examines the role that religion plays in the re-entry process. Data for this study come from nearly two years of participant observation in a variety of activities with a Prison Fellowship Ministry Aftercare group in Southeastern Wisconsin. These activities include mentorship training, in-prison chapel services and Bible groups, as well as aftercare support groups. The paper focuses on the ways in which participation in prison fellowship activities provides both support and accountability in the re-entry process.~~ ..PAT.-Unpublished Manuscript [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
