Abstract
- This research seeks to fill the gap between organized crime and journey-to-crime literature by investigating the journey to co-offending of individuals within criminal organizations. The authors extend the methods used in journey-to-crime research to explore the geography of co-offending within illicit drug production networks. This research demonstrates that the travel distances of drug production networks are longer than most journey-to-crime trips, are significantly longer than randomly simulated trips, and are non-random in direction. The distribution of distances between co-offenders also shows a buffer zone around offender homes. ..PAT.-Unpublished Manuscript [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
