Abstract

The article reports on the crucial impact of the sea-level change to the low-lying coastal regions in the world. The University of Colorado at Boulder, Colorado has maps of regional trends which reminds people that sea level does not rise or fall uniformly around the world. It is predicted that possible sea-level rise includes beach erosion, saltwater intrusion and floods, loss of coastal wetlands, droughts, and hurricanes if humanity continue on its modern destructive activities.
