Abstract
- The article discusses the character of Chi McBride in the television show "Pushing Daisies." McBride's Emerson Cod is a private investigator who is eager to use Ned's talents to help him solve murders and collect reward money. Cod is a delightful mix of quirks and quips and a master of sarcastic put-down. McBride started acting until he was 30. He appeared in television shows "The Secret Diary of Desmond Pfeiffer," "Boston Public," "House," "Killer Instinct," and "The Nine."
