- This section offers news briefs on the petroleum industry in Texas as of December 17, 2007. Range Resources Corp. has acquired natural gas and oil properties from DTE Energy Co. Bentek Energy LLC reported that the volume of Texas natural gas delivered via the interstate pipelines has increased to a record-high 10 billion cubic feet per day. Chesapeake Energy Corp. of Oklahoma City had been named Hydrocarbon Producer of the Year at the Platts Global Energy Awards.
