Abstract

The article provides information on the connection of art and camouflage in nature. It stresses that painters make forms that contrast with canvas they are working and military camouflage experts utilize figure-ground relationships to enable them to blend with the surroundings, to cause one kind to be mistaken for another, and to make them break apart easily. It also emphasizes that such connection coincides with the idea that such relatedness is called protective coloration. Further, it reveals the must for adoption of deep understanding on the nature of camouflage that accounts for its connection with art.
