Abstract

The article reports on the affirming and conceptualizing knowledge for doctoral education. It discusses thatt the present context in nursing requires radical political analyses to deconstruct the dominant discussion that map both the discipline and the profession. It infers the biomedical ideology is a model of colonial patronage which is becoming more influential in nursing. An overview of the use of postcolonialism in nursing is presented. Such colonization takes the forms of powerful discourses and institutional practices that pervade all circles of nursing.
