Abstract
- The article discusses the eye injuries of baseball player Larry Whitaker. In July 2005, a bottle rocket misfired and hit the left eye of Whitaker which caused his blindness. In order to get back to his sport, he trained with Drew Prater, former Major League Baseball player who owns and operates Drew Prater's Baseball Xpress training center in Saint Peter, Missouri. His workouts include improving his peripheral vision and hand-eye coordination. After several training, he returned to competitive baseball and played for the American Legion Post 313.
