Abstract
- Chapter 6 of the book "The Politics of Military Base Closings" is presented. It explores a base closure and realignment act which was implemented in 1990 in the U.S. The 1990 legislation was a response to the changing atmosphere and the new world order not just a response to requests that the Pentagon had been making and that Congress had been defeating as had been the case with the earlier legislation.
