Reflections on Europe in Transition: Questions of Identity.

The article examines the events that brought Europe to a crossroad of identity issues. Relative to the question of European identity, the formative aspects of national identity are discussed. Inspite of talk of a European identity, a conclusion that European nations still have their own identity is reached. The article says this is true even in the light of the impact of globalization and heightened immigration. The article also focuses on Germany which is facing challenges to its identity.
