Abstract

The article presents an analysis of Apple's iPod sales for the year 2007. The section reflects on the failure of iPod to meet sales expectations for the year. According to the author, Apple's projections for its second-quarter performance were below the expectation of Wall Street. However, according to their record, Apple's iPod sales from October to December 2007 has exceeded any quarter sales since the introduction of the mobile music player six years earlier. Their record also show that the quarterly sales of 22.1 million iPods helped Apple tally $9.6 billion in revenue and a $1.5 billion profit for its fiscal first quarter.
