Abstract
- The author asserts that Larry Bird was the best ever to play in the National Basketball Association (NBA), despite all of the record statistics achieved by Michael Jordan. He acknowledges that Jordan is a great player and many think he is the best ever to play the game. However, the author emphasizes that because of his leadership, Bird, as well as his teammates, played 14 years of spectacular basketball. He adds that Bird was a very solid player, averaging 22-28 points a game in each season.
