Abstract

The article reports on the increasing pressure to close roads in Great Britain for repairs for shorter periods. It states that Stirling's Lloyd's Safetrack range of highway maintenance products can be applied easily and last for longer. Bitumen, according to the article, typically needs to be heated before it is liquid enough to apply to road surfaces and it carries some risk especially if workers have to operate in relatively remote areas. According to development director Mike Harper, pressures lead to increased requirements for maintenance.
