Abstract

The article presents an analysis regarding the significance of France's advertising and typographic designs in the popular culture and its influenced on commercialism of the early 20th century. It determines the country's significant contributions to Modernism as well to pre-Modern and postwar typography. It states through Michel Wlassikoff's "The Story of Graphic Design in France," the facts about the country's influences has been revealed and acknowledge. It notes that the evolution of French graphics from rococo to postmodern shows a steady path of innovation.
