Abstract
- The article discusses the gastrointestinal (GI) malignancies in patients with HIV or AIDS. Antiretroviral therapy may decrease some common GI malignancies such as Kaposi sarcoma (KS) and AIDS-related non-Hodgkin lymphoma (AIDS-NHL), but it does nothing for others such as anal squamous cell carcinoma/anal intraepithelial neoplasia (SCC/AIN), which increases as a patient lives longer. A description of each GI disease is included.
