- • Nutritional status consists of more than dietary intake. • Six key aspects of nutritional status assessment are ABCDEFs: anthropometry, biochemical tests, clinical indices, dietary status, environmental influences, and functional indices. • Nutritional status assessment includes the ABCDEFs, but may require special adoptions for some of the arthritis and rheumatic diseases.
