Abstract

The article presents a study on the role of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) receptor-1 in postnatal angiogenesis. It discusses the topics of endothelial Akt activity, senescence, placenta growth factor, and ribonucleic acids (RNAs). This study suggests that VEGF receptor-1 regulates postnatal angiogenesis through the inhibition of excessive endothelial Akt activity.
