Abstract

Community policing is a philosophy that emerged from the ethics and practicality of law enforcement developing, constructing and participating in community collaborations. At Western Community Policing Institute, community policing is becoming an integral component of homeland security. Once again, ethics and the practicality of law enforcement has a clearly defined role in developing community partnerships that both cultivates and promotes resilient, vigilant, and prepared community under the basic precepts of systems theory. This paper outlines the progress and the prospects of such an endeavor, as well as the process of delivering necessary professional training. ..PAT.-Unpublished Manuscript [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
