Abstract

The article discusses evolution and human origins. Evolution is the core and unifying theme of biology and a significant development in nineteenth century European intellectual history. It contends that human evolution, origins and fundamental genetic similarity are also crucial topics in the study of global history and in most twentieth century American religious and educational controversies. It states that it is an area that science and social studies departments need to cooperate. Evolution is based on random mutations within a community or species and the ability of individuals to pass along the genetic traits. In 1858, Charles Darwin and Alfred Russell Wallace presented a mechanism that shows the ability of organisms to change from one generation to another.
