Abstract

The article presents a study which examined PTPRJ, a candidate gene for mouse locus sustainability to colorectal cancer (CRC). It genotyped a variant, rs1566734 and six additional PTPRJ haplotype tagging single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNP) in CRC cases and case controls study of the Molecular Epidemiology of Colorectal Cancer, to examine if variants or haplotype in PTPRJ confer protective or risk effect for CRC. It concludes that variant or haplotypes in PTPRJ has no significant effect on CRC.
