Abstract
- The article discusses the highlights of the symposium "New Vistas on Gastrointestinal Motility: From Physiology to Therapy," held in Rome, Italy on September 28-29, 2007. It notes that the event was organized by the Department of Pharmacology and the Department of Internal Medicine of the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart of Rome. The aim of the symposium is to improve the understanding of the physiology and patholophysiology of neuromuscular behavior in the gastrointestinal tract and to advance the treatment of gastrointestinal disorders.
