The article discusses advanced diagnostic tests that can determine community-acquired pneumonia (CAP) caused by other viruses aside from influenza virus and respiratory syncytial virus. CAP is noted as the 7th major cause of death in the U.S., affecting children, adults, and persons with inherent immunosuppressive or cardiopulmonary conditions.
