Abstract

The article reports on the findings of the study by the researchers from Johns Hopkins University concerning the effects of sildinafil, the erectile dysfunction drug which is commonly known as viagra. The study has found that sildenafil amplifies the effects of a heart- protective protein and has already been shown to improve heart function. Moreover, sildenafil may have value in either treating or preventing heart damage due to chronic high blood pressure.
