Abstract

This article discusses the case of George Price and Paulette Campiou v. Sucker Creek Fist Nation #150A in the Federal Court of Canada. Price and Campiou contested their suspension as elected councillors with the Sucker Creek First nation Band Council on charges of conflict of interest. The application for judicial review was granted on the grounds that the Council did not properly notify Price and Campiou of the action pending against them or comply with election law.
