Game changes with new portable and wireless digital radiography.

The article presents the new portable radiography detectors which can operate independently in and outside the radiography room. As mentioned, the portable detectors can go where they are needed, capture images in a second for transmittal into a PACS thus eliminating problems on quality assurance and patient identification. It suggests that portable and wireless DR detectors present an answer on how to manage x-ray imaging in a busy hospital environment and further provides efficiency and reduction in medical errors.
