Sled Dogs to Small Dogs.

Information on the origin of Pomeranian dogs from the book "Pomeranian: Pom Pom Ado" is presented. It describes the Pomeranians as descendants of the ancient sled dog known as the Spitz which lived in cold and snowy areas where people traveled by sled. These Spitz dogs became popular in Pomerania in Poland and Germany in the 1500s and were bred to be smaller dogs, which were eventually called Pomeranians.
