Abstract
- The article presents a geodetic information about Nicaragua. It notes that most of the country's Caribbean lowlands area was inhabited by tribes that migrated north from Colombia, where various dialects are related to Chibcha. It states that Nicaragua is bordered by Costa Rica and Honduras, with the terrain that comprises extensive Atlantic coastal plains rising to central interior mountains. It indicates that the country was noted for its paucity of surveying and mapping in the 20th century.
