The author criticizes three Republicans who co-sponsored Assembly Bill (AB) 243 which requires certain employers to grant a leave to a parent, guardian or custodian of a child enrolled in public school or private school to participate in certain school conferences and activities. He says that government has no business interfering with private employment relationships and neither should Republicans co-sponsor anti-business legislation such as AB 243.
