Abstract
- The article presents a finite element formulation for nonlinear dynamic analysis of pipe riser structures. A linearization method is used by the finite element formulation to prevent inaccuracies associated with the linearization schemes. The development of a nonlinear finite element formulation that would also account for large rotations is the aim of the study. According to the results of the study, accurate results were given by the formulation.
