Abstract
- The article discusses the results of a hydrodynamic analysis of a floating multi-body pier interacting with incident waves, with emphasis on the results of wave-induced motions and structural responses. It is found that the motion response increases when the number of pontoons for constructing a floating pier is increased. It is also concluded that the connector forces are much larger in the connector between pontoons in 2-body floating pier as compared to a 3-body floating pier.
