LA MIGRACIÓN COLOMBIANA EN ESPAÑA: ¿SALVADOS O ENTRAMPADOS?

The article focuses on the social conditions of Colombian immigrants to Spain. It discusses their social mobility, considers their levels of assimilation into the Spanish workforce and explores the transnational migratory networks which have shaped the flow of Colombians to Spain. The author uses statistical information from a 2007 national survey of immigrants (Encuesta Nacional de Inmigrantes de 2007) to track various variables including region of origin, nationality under which they entered Spain and place of residence in Spain.
