Abstract

The article offers tips on troubleshooting and resetting an iPod. If an iPod freezes, Apple suggests trying the five R's, namely, Reset, Retry, Restart, Reinstall and Restore. The first step to take is to check whether the player is not paused or in the Hold mode. Move the Hold switch back to the unlocked position to make sure that the player can respond to the commands. Resetting it entails shutting it down and resetting it. Music ad other files still remain when it is reopened again. Reinstalling means adding firmware updates that can fix bugs and other issues on the player. If no other solution works, this means restoring the iPod is already needed.
