Chapter 7: Surgery.

Chapter 7 of the book "Fast Facts: Inflammatory Bowel Disease," third edition, is presented. It explores some surgical treatments available for both ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease. It provides information on different surgical options for ulcerative colitis and its complications including ileostomy, ileonal pouch and pouchitis. Among the surgical options for Crohn's disease include small-bowel or ileal resection, stricturoplasty and surgery for perianal disease.
