Abstract

The article provides information on gallstones and other gallbladder diseases. Gallstones are described as small, hard deposits that can form in the gallbladder which may cause the organ to become inflamed. Cholelithiasis, the process of gallstone formation, is usually attributed to cholesterol. Risk factors for gallstones include diabetes and being overweight.
