Abstract

The article describes the development of the high energy type lithium-ion battery system for underwater use. The system is composed of a lithium-ion battery cell-assembly, a pressure-balanced case, and a battery manager. A sheet-type sealed battery cells and a chassis make up the cell-assembly while battery charge and discharge process management will be done by the battery manager. A review of battery development trends in the world is also provided.
