Abstract

The article presents a study on the genetic variations of Cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) polymorphisms, aspirin treatment, and risk for colorectal recurrence. It states an introduction on the observational studies for COX-2 and its role in colorectal cancer. Materials and methods used to conduct the study including genotyping are given. Results of the study support the hypothesis on the significant role played by COX-2 in the etiology of colon cancer.
