Abstract
- The article discusses strategies for school leaders when communicating with parents of children born after 1983 or those from Generation X. Several descriptions of parents of Generation Xers, who are referred to as "helicopter parents," "stealth-fighter parents," "security moms," and "committed dads," are provided. Several suggestions for educators encountering these types of parents are discussed including on topics of trust, personal accountability, and transparency.
