Abstract

To improve the performance of radio admission control, the architecture of uplink access control based QoS guarantee is promoted to adapt the unique characteristics of services in WCDMA systems. It assigns the policy based on the classification of services and the QoS level, and then a new algorithm for access named Priority Code based DiftServ (PCD) algorithm is proposed. The signal flow of real/non-real time services is designed, and the new algorithm is simulated and contrasted with the foregone admission control algorithm. It is indicated that the proposed algorithm can solve the problem of uplink access control effectively, and it exhibits better operation throughput as well as time-delay performance compared with random access method, which improve the real-time service.
