Abstract

The article presents the research on the development of mummification in Egypt. It cites several assumptions that contributed to the preservation of bodies, such as sand burial, skin or mat wrapping and rituals before burial. It outlines that the idea of taking apart and reconstitution of the body can also be the factors of the preservation. However, these assumptions and ideas have not been proven as proofs to a fully-preserved body which ancient Egyptians had done in the ancient times.
