Abstract

The article presents a study which described the metabolite spectrum of testosterone (T) in human fetal adrenal and liver in vitro and verified the roles of CYP3A and 2C isoforms in T metabolism. Researchers used the isocratic high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) method of steroid separation and determination in order to demonstrate how human fetal adrenal microsomes can metabolize T. It is confirmed that isoforms did not play a significant function in metabolizing T in human fetal adrenal.
