Abstract
- The article presents a profile of English Roman Catholic merchant Bryant Barrett is presented. The growth of his business, his success as a Laceman in London, England, and his appointment as Laceman to the King in 1760 are discussed. His marriage to Roman Catholic Mary Belson, their removal to the countryside in 1764, and the design of their home are also discussed. Information about Barrett's children is also included.
