Abstract
- The article reports on a 290-hectare (ha) dairy farm owned by Allan and Helen Kirkland located at Riverside Road near Mosgiel, Otago, New Zealand. The herd includes 525 Friesian and Friesian/Jersey with a breeding worth of 111 and production worth of 139. The main problem faced by the dairy farmers is the flooding of the Taieri River.
