Abstract: The article presents a study that investigated the gravity cage hydrodynamic behavior under irregular wave conditions using a numerical model. A lumped mass method was used to obtain a set of equations of motion for the typical gravity cage with frame anchor system. Results of the study showing that the mooring lines situated upstream are fully loaded are presented.
