Determination of Minimum Miscibility Pressure using Vanishing Interfacial Tension (VIT) in Support of EOR for Alaska North Slope (ANS) Heavy Oil.

The article presents a study which examined the Vanishing Interfacial Tension (VIT) to measure minimum miscibility pressure (MMP) for Alaska North Slope (ANS) heavy oil. An increased opportunity for carbon dioxide sequestration resulted from the high viscosity of heavy oils. The recombination parameters for ANS heavy oils including bubble point pressure and reservoir temperature are discussed.
