Abstract
- The article focuses on a study which examined whether exposure fine PM affects the endothelial progenitor cell (EPC) populations, inflammation, and coagulation. The EPC populations were quantified by flow cytometry in young adult humans exposed along the Wasatch Mountain Front in Utah. The study found no correlation between PM exposure and circulating EPC levels. It concludes that exposure to PM induces reversible vascular injury.
