Abstract

The article presents a study which examined the association of recurrence-free survival (RFS) in stage IIB and III esophageal squamous cell carcinomas (ESCC) and the global levels of histone modifications. The researchers used the K-means clustering algorithm to determine the distinct patterns of histone modifications. They found that histone alterations in ESCC may affect the prognosis of RFS.
