Abstract

The article presents a study which examines the distinction of the clinical features of 215 Stage I borderline ovarian tumors (BOTs) in Japanese women. It states that the study was performed on 215 Japanese women with Stage I BOTs and Stage I ovarian cancer ranged in age from 17 to 72 years. It reveals that BOTs usually occur in younger women. It mentions that survival rate among patients who received surgery and chemotherapy are higher than those who only underwent chemotherapy.
