Hypertrophic pachymeningitis and cerebral venous sinus thrombosis in inflammatory bowel disease.

Abstract: Hypertrophic pachymeningitis is rarely observed in inflammatory bowel disease. We report a woman with ulcerative colitis whose biopsy-confirmed hypertrophic pachymeningitis was complicated by cerebral venous sinus thrombosis and intracranial hypertension and required ventriculostomy and steroid therapy.
